What is values-based dating?
Values-based dating means looking for a partner, or a friend, who shares the things that matter most to you, such as faith, wanting children, politics, health choices or how you like to live, before you look at photos. Looks still matter, but shared values and the same intent (a serious relationship, something casual or friendship) are what make a match last.
How do I find someone who shares my values?
Start by naming the three values you won’t compromise on and the kind of relationship you want. Then choose a dating site that lets you show or filter on those values, say them plainly in your profile, and ask about them early in conversation. Our guides help you with each step.
What is the ChatDateLove match-finder?
It’s a short AI chat we’re building. When it launches, it will ask what kind of love you’re looking for and what matters to you, mostly with options you can tap, and show which existing dating sites and apps fit, and why. It isn’t live yet. Before it launches, we’ll explain exactly how it handles your answers in our privacy policy.
Is ChatDateLove a dating site?
No. ChatDateLove is a dating guide: we help you choose among existing dating sites and apps and give you tips for your profile and first messages. We may add our own matching later.
Do you store my data?
You don’t need an account to use ChatDateLove, and the site has no sign-up or contact forms. We don’t use analytics or marketing cookies unless you agree first. Like every website, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages securely. Our privacy policy explains the details.
Is ChatDateLove free? How do you make money?
Yes, our guides are free to read. In the future, some dating sites may pay us a commission when someone signs up through our link. That would never cost you more. At the moment we have no affiliate partnerships, and our rankings and recommendations are editorial: commission doesn’t decide them.
Which dating sites let you match on values?
Several do, in different ways. Match lets members choose three core values, such as family or faith, for their profile. eHarmony and Parship ask a longer questionnaire about personality and what you want in a relationship. SilverSingles is made for singles over 50, and Christian Mingle is built around shared Christian faith. Our first guide, for dating over 50, compares them.
